San Jose Die Casting has engineers that will assist you with the product design to help suit it for the die casting process. San Jose Die Casting uses the latest CAD/CAM software and is able to take drawings in any format and design a tool that is able to hold tight tolerances with practically no machining. Our engineers are certified and members of NADCA. They work very closely with tool makers to reduce the lead time and lessen the expense of the customer. We are able to provide quotes within 2-3 days.

San Jose Die Casting has die casting machines that vary from 150-850 tons. We have both cold and hot chamber die casting machines for Zinc and Aluminum. We cast parts that weigh a few ounces to ones that weigh 35 pounds. Our die casting machines are able to produce thin walled castings, deep heat sinks and achieve as cast parts with features on all sides with no machining to obtain significant savings in cost. Since our engineers work very closely with tool makers we are able to give very short lead times and assure that the product is to the highest quality. Our Fondarex advanced vacuum unit allows our castings to be virtually porosity free to assure the highest caliber parts. This vacuum process allows us to produce parts with thinner walls with excellent mechanical and thermal properties approaching A6061.

San Jose Die Casting is more than a die casting shop in the middle of the Silicon Valley, we also have a machine shop in house which allows not to outsource. San Jose Die Casting is able to do any type of machining, from drilling one hole to drilling and tapping many holes at one time. Our facility has many single spindle drill presses, multi-spindle, vertical and horizontal, drilling & tapping machines, and lead screw tapping machines. San Jose Die Casting also has surface grinders, automatic wet-belt grinders, tool and cutter grinders. For those complicated multi-task jobs San Jose Die Casting owns eight CNC mills and two CNC lathes, and also an automatic chucker. Our machine shop is able to accept high flow capacity to run high production orders. With our CAD-CAM software we are able to take drawings off the computer screen and implement precision machining.

Jose Die Casting also has a sanding and deburring department that will give a
burr free piece. We offer a wide variety of finishes with the sanding and
deburring process. We will remove all burrs and sharp edges so cables do
not get caught and ripped. The parts will be ready for the final process
of paint, plating, or whichever finish you desire.

The assembly facility at San Jose Die Casting is very flexible with large flow capacity and capabilities for any type of hardware installation with many high speed heli-coil installation machines, presses for riveting and staking, electric baking oven and many other special tools for any type of assembly needed.

San Jose Die Casting quality control is designed to assure compliance to stringent commercial requirements and military standards. All our inspection equipment is included in a calibration program which complies with military standards that are traceable to n.b.s. To assure that the tight tolerances that the customer requires are held a computer controlled coordinate measuring machine (CMM) is used. San Jose Die Casting's quality control department also has the capability to do pressure testing. The Q.C. Manager fully documents systems and procedures and also uses statistical process control to be able to show consistency of parts
